Only twenty four times the polar bears gave birth to their cubs in their icy dens and led them to the light, when the storms of the dark moons declined, as Meláonë left her tribe.

Meláonë was born through the song of friendship of her parents, Felérion and Sahanya. Her melody of life merged into the tunes of the group. At this time Meláonë had been restrained and quiet.
But the community of her tribe quickly let her face the icy winds with courage in order to watch the snowdrifts to foretell the weather or espy the seals in the distance, which where hardly to separate from shadows of the fissured floes. But hunting and travelling never was most important for her, though it meant surviving for the tribe.
More often than other elves Meláonë travelled on her thoughts, listened to the melodies of the ice, the snow and the wind, the chants, which live in every animal, be it a seabird or a fish. Older elves teached her on many hunts in the vastness of the white planes and along the ice covered coasts many things, which should help her and her tribe to survive.

Later her parents gave birth to a second child, Meláonë's sister Leyaria. Meláonë loved her sister very much, even though or perhaps because she was carrying such a happy and joyful melody in her soul.
As Meláonë's mother then broke through the ice being wounded but defending the cached fish from winter wolves, her mother died and Meláonë cared for her little sister from then on.

But one day her sister disappeared during an ice storm. Meláonë found hints for humans having kidnapped her sister by violence. She left her tribe.

For more than fifty years Meláonë followed the tracks of her sister through several fishing villages and costal towns far into the south.
More and more the overwhelming idea of revenge and the distance to her tribe darkened Meláonë's soul on her journey. Loneliness and the concentration of all of her strength and mind on one goal, made her blind for the beauty of life and full of bitterness.
Meláonë finally found the slave traders, who had paid a lot of money to get such exotic ware. But it was far too late.
Thirty six years ago her sister was stroke dead by an unknown merchant, who thought Leyaria was too truculent. Meláonë took bloody revenge on the slave traders. But that didn't give her the satisfaction she hoped for.

Now Meláonë is looking for the merchant. She deliriously follows every little hint, though she had lost the right path for a long time.
On her aberration through the land she acts really merciless especially to humans, who she absolutely hates. Though she seems friendly, perhaps a bit reserved on first sight, one little remark can cause sheer hatred in her twisted thoughts.
Sometimes Meláonë proceeds quite planfully on her campaign of revenge; sometimes she acts very impulsive and murderous. She had become unpredictable even to her own kind.
Human PCs could easily evoke Meláonë's suspect and unwillingly become targets of her fury. But if Meláonë doesn't feel absolutely superior to her victims, she would avoid an open fight.
She often presents herself as quite friendly and waits for her opportunity, sometimes for months.
The DM should consider giving her some human and nonhuman contacts by hand, who she could easily bind because of her charisma and abuse them for her intentions. Meláonë kills her victims as painfully and bloody as possible and often tortures them before. That's the reason why in villages she left her bloody track, rumours of a demon-obsessed-white-elf began to spread.
